Somerville Baptist College commenced in 1999 after the successful establishment of Winthrop Baptist College. The Board governed school caters from Years 8-12 and is currently comprised of 560 students, 50 teachers, 3 administration and 8 anciliary staff.

The College aim is to foster the spirit of Faith, Wisdom and Courage in our school community. Within this framework the students at Somerville Baptist College are encouraged to develop:

• A deep sense of social responsibility
• High self esteem
• An awareness of the personal existence of God
• Pursuit of personal excellence

The Somerville Crest is in the form of a shield and depicts the cross, representing our faith in the risen Jesus Christ, as well as an illuminated open book, symbolic of our commitment to learning and development of each individual.
